Mentorship
Clarity is kindness.
Most mentorship questions look like 'what should I do?' The better ones turn into 'what do I actually want?' My role is to help you ask the better one.
I do this work because I've benefited from it myself, and because I notice that the people who change my life rarely give me answers — they give me a sharper version of my own question. I try to be that for the people who reach out.
How it works
- Free for the first conversation. An honest 30-minute call. We figure out together if I'm the right person.
- Async by default. Most of the work happens in writing and voice notes. Calls are for inflection points.
- I take a small number of mentees at a time. Quality over quantity. If I can't help right now, I will say so.
- No pricing on this page yet. I'm still figuring out what's fair. For now, write to me — most ongoing mentorship is currently no-fee or pay-what-feels-right.
Work with me
Who I can help.
01
Early-career engineers
Finding your footing, learning how to learn at work, choosing a path before the path chooses you.
02
Senior engineers
Going from technical strength to influence — without losing the craft you came in with.
03
Aspiring managers
Deciding whether the manager track is right for you, and if so — preparing for the first job before it arrives.
04
New managers
The first 18 months. Building trust, holding standards, leading peers, surviving the first hard conversation.
05
Families pursuing financial independence
Getting clear on what your money is actually for, designing a system you can hold for decades, and bringing the family along.
06
People navigating life transitions
Career pivots, relocations, mid-life recalibration, decisions that are too big for a spreadsheet.
What conversations usually look like
If any of these are your question, you are in the right place.
- “Should I switch jobs?”
- “Am I ready for management?”
- “How much money is enough?”
- “How do I plan for retirement — without making it the whole point?”
- “How do I make a difficult decision when both options have real costs?”
- “What should my child study, and how should I help them prepare?”
- “How do I keep learning at 40, 50, 60?”
The questions matter more than the answers. Most of the work is helping you ask the better one.
